When is Diwali?
Diwali, also known as Dipawali and Deepavali, is the Festival of Lights. This holiday celebrates the victory of Good over Evil within the individual. This holiday is celebrated in Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
A common ritual is to light diyas (string wicks inserted in clay pots filled with coconut oil) to signify victory of Good over the Evil within a person.
