When is Earth Day?

Earth Day was founded in 1970 by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin to help increase awareness of the Earth's environment. It focuses on efforts to help with pollution, overpopulation, recycling, global warming, and clean energy. Earth Day also focuses on educating citizens on how they can help.

Earth Day Network’s international network reaches over 17,000 organizations in over 174 countries. Over half a billion people participate each year.
