When is Labor Day?

Labor Day was created by Central Labor Union of New York City in 1882. The purpose was to create a day of rest for the working citizen. Labor day became a national holiday in 1884.

Labor Day was created shortly after the Panic of 1883, which marked the beginning of the Long Depression.

Labor Day is a day of rest, parades, and signals that summer is ending.
