Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) is a seven day festival that occurs in the Jewish calendar on the 15th day of the month of Tishrei . Traditionally, it involves making a pilgrimage to the Temple in Jerusalem. During this holiday, people would dwell in huts (sukkot's) like the Israelites dwelt in during the 40 years of wandering in the desert.
Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are home-born in Israel shall dwell in booths.
-- Leviticus 23: 42
