When is Advent?

Advent marks the beginning of the Church year.

Traditionally, Advent was a time of fasting. While this is still done in the East, today it is mostly a time for focusing on messages of hope and joy.

This holiday includes the four Sunday's before Christmas. If Christmas is on a Sunday, then Christmas counts as the fourth Sunday.
