When is Boxing Day?

Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated in in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and a few others.

Historically, this day has been about giving gifts to those in need. In recent times, it is also known as a day for sports and shopping.

Boxing Day is celebrated on December 26th of each year (which is also St. Stephan's Day--the first Christian martyr). However, if the 26th falls to a weekend then some nations may move it to the next Monday or to the next non-holiday work day. This practice varies by country.
