When is Ascension Day?

After Jesus' Resurrection, He was seen by the Apostles over a period of 40 days. After that, Jesus ascended into Heaven.

Ascension Day is the celebration of Jesus' Ascension into Heaven, and takes place 40 days after Easter. This day is always a Thursday, and as such this holiday is also known and Holy Thursday.
